140+ technical SEO checks across 27 categories, audited continuously
Wrendex catches the technical regressions your other SEO stack never built a check for. Duplicate trackers, redundant stylesheets, render-blocking overlaps, hreflang asymmetry, and 140+ other audits, run on every schedule on every site you monitor.

Six modules, 140+ audits
Crawl health
- HTTP 4xx and 5xx detection on every crawled URL
- Redirect chains, loops, and excessive hop counts
- Sitemap parse errors, orphan listings, and missing index files
- Soft-404 detection on 200 responses with empty bodies
- Crawl-budget waste from canonical-pointing-elsewhere chains
Content & metadata
- Missing, duplicated, and out-of-range title tags
- Meta description completeness and length thresholds
- Heading hierarchy (h1 presence, multiple h1s, level skips)
- Thin-content and word-count heuristics
- Stale-content age tracking, calibrated per content type
Internal & external links
- Orphan-page detection across crawled internal graph
- Broken internal and external link reporting
- Excessive crawl depth, click-depth, and dead-end paths
- Anchor-text quality and over-optimised anchor patterns
- Nofollow-pattern auditing on internal navigation
Duplicate & redundant code
- Duplicate analytics trackers loaded twice on the same page
- Stylesheets imported by two templates on the same render
- Same library shipped at multiple versions (jQuery 1.x and 3.x)
- Tag Manager carrying tags already on the page
- Third-party script overlap across vendors
Search visibility
- Canonical correctness, conflicts, and 4xx targets
- Hreflang return-tag validation across every locale
- Structured-data validation for all major schema.org types
- Open Graph + Twitter card validation, image sizing
- Indexability mismatches between meta-robots and x-robots
Security & HTTPS
- Mixed-content (insecure subresource) detection
- HSTS posture, max-age, and preload eligibility
- HTTPS-to-HTTP redirect chains we shouldn’t see
- Insecure form actions on otherwise-HTTPS pages
- Protocol mismatches between canonical and rendered URL
What other audit tools don’t check
Four audits we built because we needed them.
Duplicate-tracker detection
A single page often loads the same analytics provider twice, one direct snippet and one inside Tag Manager. The result is inflated pageviews, doubled TTFB cost, and dashboards that quietly lie. Wrendex flags every duplicate at the network layer.
Redundant stylesheets
Two templates each pull the same vendor stylesheet on the same render. The cascade picks the second one and the first one is dead weight. Wrendex finds the overlap and ranks it by render-blocking impact.
Render-blocking overlap finder
Render-blocking resources are well-known. Render-blocking resources that overlap each other (same library, different host, both in the critical path) are not. Wrendex maps every render-blocking request and surfaces the overlap.
Deploy-aware regression tracking
Every audit is diffed against the previous run. Severity deltas surface first; new errors are ranked by traffic impact. When a deploy lands, the next audit highlights exactly which checks just regressed, so there is no comparing PDFs by hand.
Monitoring on a schedule, alerts in real time
| Feature | What it does | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule | Choose your cadence per site. Monthly, weekly, or daily. Frequency drives credits used. Manual re-runs always allowed; spot audits against ad-hoc URLs sit outside your monitored set. Re-crawls are incremental, so a frequent schedule pays for what changed, not the whole site. | Monthly, weekly, daily |
| Incremental re-crawls | After the first full crawl, fetch only what changed. Pages whose sitemap lastmod has not moved are carried forward without a request; pages with an ETag or Last-Modified header are revalidated, and a 304 Not Modified response is carried forward too. Carried pages cost no credits and keep their alerts. Every run also re-verifies the carried pages confirmed longest ago, 5% of the site by default, so a template deploy that adds a noindex or breaks a stylesheet without touching a lastmod still surfaces. A full re-crawl is one click away. | Every plan |
| Alert composer | Compose alert rules from severity, category, page-set, and threshold. Route per channel: a severity:error rule pages on-call; a category:metadata rule emails marketing. | Every plan |
| Channels | Email, Slack, Teams, PagerDuty. Every channel on every plan; PagerDuty incidents are severity-mapped. | Email, Slack, Teams, PagerDuty |
| Regression diffs | Each audit compared to the previous run. New errors ranked by traffic impact; resolved checks confirmed inline. | Every plan |
| Webhook events | Outbound HTTPS webhooks for audit lifecycle events. Run start, run end, regression detected, baseline shifted. Bring audits into your own tooling. | Every plan |
| Scheduled reports | Recurring email digests of audit health. Per-recipient cadence; weekly or monthly. Render once, send to as many addresses as you like. | Every plan |
